"Whey Aye
C/DC perform a full two and a half hour stage show of classic AC/DC
tracks from both the Brian and Bon eras. Musically and visually,
the band are the closest thing to the real deal you could hope to see
and hear - and Daz (vocals) and Graham (lead guitar) are two of the most
uncanny looking / sounding frontmen you could ever wish to see in a
tribute band. Every song is played note-perfect and it is evident
from the sheer professionalism and breath-taking stage show that these
guys have it absolutely nailed. Certainly the best AC/DC tribute band
I've seen in a long time - and believe me, I've seen quite a few"

Griffiths - Co-Organiser - 'The Big Ball AC/DC Convention' in
Wrexham 2004 - 2006 .

Graham
Harker - Lead Guitar |
|
The most uncanny
looking Angus you will ever see in an AC/DC tribute band.
"Four Foot nowt and six stone wet through" was how a local
live music reviewer described him. Graham has every Angus
characteristic mimicked down to the last duck-hop and
lip-curl. His guitar playing is second to none and he wrings
notes from his Gibson SG like his life depends on it.
Curious Fact:
Graham takes this whole band malarkey very seriously and
tends not to get involved in the daft shenanigans his
band mates get up to (re: Daz and Neil). |

Daz McCourt - Vocals |
Daz has always
been a big AC/DC fan, but manages to keep his obsession to a
manageable level, unlike Dean or Graham - who would rather
spend their last fiver on a copy of Kerrang featuring a one
inch article about Phil Rudd's dog, than buy food or put
petrol in their cars.
Daz first heard AC/DC back in 1979 when his Dad gave him a
worn out taped copy of 'Highway To Hell', which he played
non-stop for a year until he got the album 'Back In Black'
for his 7th birthday and played it until the grooves on the
LP knackered.
After years of belting out AC/DC tracks in various pub
bands, Daz finally got to do what he does best in 'Back in
Black' and now 'Whey Aye C/DC'.
Curious Fact: Daz has recently had all of his hair
cut off (again) after a home hair-dying experiment went
wrong (again). So instead of a Wurzel Gummidge look-a-like
fronting the band, he has now opted for an 'Action Man / GI
Joe' hair do, complete with Garnier brown hair dye to cover
the shambles he made of his blonde highlights. The big girl.

Dean Robertson - Rhythm
Guitar |
Dean is a true
professional in every sense of the word. He's always the
first to arrive at rehearsals and gigs, and due to his work
commitments, that probably means he's driven about 200 miles
to get there (in his girly hairdressers car).
Curious Fact: Dean's also a member of the legendary
NWOBHM band The Tygers Of Pan Tang. He's probably the most experienced member of the band
when it comes to performing live and that's why the rest of
the lads tend to ask him stupid questions and direct over
enthusiastic fans in his direction.

Chris Walker - Bass Guitar
|
|
Probably the
most sensible band member, Chris' bass playing provides the back-bone to the Whey
Aye C/DC sound. Chris also undertakes alot of the 'behind
the scenes work' with Daz, which means booking gigs, sorting
out backdrops and posters etc for his ever-so-grateful
band-mates.
Curious Fact:
Chris is
a fireman in 'real life' and therefore has probably the most
important job out of everyone in the band. Chris can usually be found at
gigs being subject to 'rescuing cats out of trees' jokes by
the ignorant buffoons he calls band-mates. |

Neil Vickers - Drums
|
|
Neil is
sometimes referred to as the 'quiet one' in the band. Which
is utter bollocks. Stick him and Daz in the same room for
any longer than 5 minutes and their insane gibberish,
star-wars impressions and 'jokes' will drive any sane person
up the wall. By far the noisiest member of the band. Neil
likes nothing better than banging the hell out of his
drum kit, usually while Graham's trying to tune his guitar.
Curious Fact:
Neil used to be a goalkeeper for an ice hockey team - which
means he's git hard and that. He also makes movie props and
masks for local fancy dress shops in his shed. He's
currently knocking up two cannons for the band to use at
live shows, but they're that big he can't actually get them
out of the shed now that he's built them. Daz is going round
later in the week to help him remove the shed roof so they
can hoist them out. |
